FAQS

When you feel stuck, it is easy to fall into the trap of endlessly self-analyzing just about everything you do. But true self-discovery begins with asking the right questions. A life assessment is a phenomenal tool for doing just this: it asks the kind of questions that help you take an honest, insightful look at your life. And it does so from a place of love.

The Balance Baseline is a proprietary self-assessment tool that breaks the most important aspects of your life down into comprehensive components and compartments. This holistic approach makes it easier to get a quick picture of your life today, as it is, through your own eyes.

You can use the Baseline Balance wheel to identify the different areas you are weak in or strong in. Use it to discover what is working for you, what you need to work on, and what is most important to you.

We like to think of the Guidebook as a kind of self-paced, do-it-yourself life coach. Its guidance aligns with the strengths and weaknesses you discover using the Baseline Balance wheel. It then utilizes a 6-week action plan to help you get closer to where you want to be, with actionable steps to help you change your daily habits and ultimately live your best life.

If you need more support, you can always schedule a one-on-one with one of our life coaches.

Life coaches don’t solve problems for you. Life coaches work with you to help you uncover the strengths and abilities you already have within to solve your own problems. Usually, you already have everything you need to help you achieve whatever your dream of. You just need someone to guide you.

Our life coaches will give you valuable insights and guidance. They will help you identify your own limiting beliefs so you can overcome them.

Remember, this is your program, not your coach’s program. There is no such thing as one-size-fits-all when it comes to making incredible life changes.

Therapists are healthcare professionals who are focused primarily on emotional wellness, including mental health. Largely, this is focused on processing and working through past experiences, including trauma.

Life coaching does look at past experiences and the way those experiences inform current habits and future goals. But it is not focused on looking backward. In general, life coaches are more focused on the future.

You might know you are ready for life coaching if you are simply not satisfied with where you are at. Does the life you are living feel less than what it could be? Do you feel like you are living a life you didn’t necessarily choose, yet somehow you find yourself here… day after day after day?

If you feel like you are living a life that is too small, and you’re ready to step into a better life filled with days lived on purpose, then you are ready for life coaching.

First and foremost, you want a life coach who will truly challenge you. Look for someone who is a big thinker, who can pose a lot of “what if” questions that help you get to the heart of the matter (whatever the “matter” is). This must be done with tremendous compassion, so you also want someone who is a first-class listener.

But listening and talking only get you so far. You also need a great leader who can help you set goals, take actionable steps, and hold you accountable. Your life coach should be able to lay out an action plan with you, one that helps you see where you are today and where you want to be.

Because our coaches and clients live across the country (and even across the globe), coaching sessions are not offered in person. Speak with your coach about virtual or phone visits, whatever works best for you.

The Baseline Balance self-assessment is a great place to start. Each of our coaches has specific expertise to offer, from personal growth to financial enhancement and more. These areas of expertise align with the areas of the wheel. By first taking the self-assessment, you can better pinpoint specific areas of your life that you might need a bit of extra help with.
